Retry Open/Inaccessible Files

Purpose & Scope

This feature will allow PeerSync to keep retrying open and inaccessible files in order to increase the chance for a locked file to be replicated to the Target successfully.

Procedure

Preparation: Setup your PeerSync Profile.

1. Change the drop-down list in the top left from Basic to Advanced.

2. Select File Options -> Open Files -> Global Settings (bottom of pane).

3. The window below will open.

4. Check the first option to Retry Open/inaccessible files every x seconds.

5. Enter the range of time you want PeerSync to keep retrying inaccessible files.

6. Now Set the maximum number of retries to be x.

(To have PeerSync keep retrying a file, regardless of the number of revisions attempted, include 0 in the Maximum number of retries. Keep in mind this could be resource intensive (stored in memory) and concurrent file events may be queued until the inaccessible file has been replicated).
